Sarita’s Story

It is always tough for a mother to leave her child and move to a new city with high aspirations to fulfil her dreams.

On one hand, society says she is working so she hardly cares for family and on other hand that if she was never interested in career then what is the use of all studies and pain others took.

After my graduation, I worked for 6years without a break even after my son was born. Circumstances forced me to, when my mother was unwell.  The break was initially for 6months but eventually it stretched to 2 years. The inverse relation between interview calls and my gap was increasing and direct relation with struggle started.

I realised it was time to seriously think about my career. I decided to upskill myself and decided to pursue PGMPW from SPJIMR.

The one year in Spjimr flew away in no time. In midst of case studies, simulations, presentations, every day we grew our confidence to lead the world. We all came with dreams and the Professors here made us realize how to fight for and achieve those dreams.

My decision to studying for one year has been the best decision I took to relaunch my career. This year taught me one very basic lesson: time and money invested on self never gets wasted.

We all know ” kisicheezkoshiddat se chaho to purikaynaat use aap se milane me lag jatihai”, I just started believing it.
